It’s that time of year again! Time to hit the show floor, share the latest product improvements and meet with reporters and members of the education media. But if you work for a special needs or ed tech company planning to attend ISTE, do you know which stories, topics and trends the media wants to learn about?
Last year, we debuted the first annual Meeting the Media’s Needs at ISTE infographic exploring what the media are looking for at ISTE and how you can fill in the gaps. This approach was helpful to both the media and ed tech companies attending ISTE, enabling them to engage on a more meaningful level.
With that, we’re happy to share the results of the second annual ISTE media survey. Following the same theme as last year, we asked not what the media could do for us, but what we could do for them. What current hot topics are they interested in? What’s the best time of day to reach them? Who are the most reliable sources?
The infographic below answers these questions and more. You’ll notice a change in trends from 2015. This year’s infographic highlights the evolving media landscape, a shift towards social and a surge in feature stories. We hope you can use this information to develop a successful media relations strategy at ISTE.
What are you most looking forward to at ISTE this year? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section; we’d love to hear your input.
