People Behind the PR – Lauren Reid

CB&A is an agency that values its team, and we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about the people behind the PR.

Dog or cat person? Most definitely a dog person, how can you resist a lifelong best friend?

Early riser or night owl? I go to bed every night with the aspiration of being an early riser, but then the alarm (or three) goes off and reality sets in, so let’s go with night owl.

Best PR advice you can fit inside a Tweet? Life’s a pitch!

Number one song played on your iPod? I am a Spotify-er, but I can say without a doubt that it would be “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton.

What would be your last meal on Earth? I would have to go with my mom’s chicken enchiladas. I’ve tried to master them myself, but never come close.

If you weren’t in PR, what would you be doing? Based on my Pinterest obsession, I would have to say an interior design. I love DIY home projects and decorating houses, it’s one of my big passions!

What is the first meal you learned to cook? Probably my mom’s meatballs. She insisted on teaching me, and I’m glad she did!

Favorite candy: Swedish Fish

Favorite movie: Dirty Dancing

If you could have one super power, what would it be? I would love to time travel–not only to explore the past and future, but to also fix my embarrassing blunders along the way!

Best vacation you ever took? My mom’s side of the family has been going up to a gorgeous lake in northern Minnesota for the past 50 years. So far, of all the places I’ve been, nationally and abroad, don’t quite compare to the peaceful beauty of Mother Nature at Trout Lake.

If you could have dinner with your favorite author or character, who would you choose? Given my childhood and 48-hour reading binges when a new book came out, I have to go with J.K. Rowling. I have yet to read another series that was quite as captivating as Harry Potter. I’d love recommendations if I’m missing out!

What was your favorite part of going to school at Augustana College? I was lucky enough to be a part of the Augustana Choir for three years. Traveling across the country and Europe singing in amazing venues will forever take the cake as some of my fondest memories.
