As March springs upon us, winter doesn’t seem to be leaving, so CB&A is leaving it behind as we travel around the country for the spring education conference marketing season.
First on the calendar: Charlene and Emily are heading back to Austin, Texas for the SXSWedu Conference & Festival. In addition to eating classic Austin BBQ, Emily and Charlene are excited to hear about the hottest topics in the education industry: accountability, assessment, blended and personalized learning, as well as the importance of big data and privacy concerns related to data.
One of this year’s attractions is the SXSWedu Playground, a newly developed interactive space that provides attendees with the opportunity to indulge their creative side while highlighting engaging, practical, and effective learning methods. Our client Filament Games will be participating in the event, presenting “Shape the Future of Games for Learning” Monday, March 3 at 3:30 p.m.
If you’re headed to SXSWedu, we recommend you join us in one (or all!) of these sessions:
Tuesday, March 4, 9-10 a.m.

Wednesday, March 5, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
